Ostaszewo combines a cycling loop with a landscape shaped by the Vistula glaciation and local culture. The “Pętla Ostaszewska” is 8.5 kilometres long; the hills of Ostaszewo are known as terminal moraines. The Tourist Centre also has 30 accommodation places and a fully equipped kitchenette. If you are looking for hotels for your stay, these local highlights can help you decide what to focus on during your trip.

Cycling and Landscape

The “Pętla Ostaszewska” cycling route runs from Ostaszewo through Rynek, Lorki and Nowe Grodziczno, and back to Ostaszewo. It is marked in green and is 8.5 kilometres long. As a loop, it allows travellers to choose which direction to go. Its length and the choice of direction answer two different planning questions: how long the route is and how you would like to tackle the loop. As markings can change, check them before setting out.

The Pętla Ostaszewska offers a chance to experience the landscape of Grodziczno municipality, shaped by the continental ice sheet during the Vistula glaciation. There is a rest shelter with benches and a table along the route, as well as information boards about the landforms. The hills of Ostaszewo are known as terminal moraines. The boards and the landscape give the cycling loop a tangible connection to the municipality’s glacial history.

Lake Hartowieckie and Local Culture

The beach and bathing area may change; check their current status before your visit. Ostaszewo’s rural settlement also extends along Lake Hartowieckie.

The aim of the Ostaszewianki women’s association is to preserve local traditions and promote village culture. The “Ostaszewianki” folk group was founded on 2 March 2008. At many local events and beyond, it performed folk songs from regions across Poland. In this way, the preservation of tradition and village culture are complemented by a repertoire encompassing different regions of Poland.
