Nadezhdinskiy District can be explored through a variety of natural sites: Baranovsky Volcano, the protected estuary of the Razdolnaya River, Tisovaya Roshcha and Tigrovaya Pad. They offer different starting points for planning your trip—from volcanic landscapes and river areas to groves and wildlife. If you are planning a hotel stay in the district, first consider which of these landscapes interests you most. This gives you a starting point for exploring the places and themes that you want to shape your trip around.

Natural Sites Between Volcano, River and Grove

Baranovsky Volcano lies on the right bank of the Razdolnaya River, near the village of Terekhivka. It is a popular destination for educational excursions and hiking trips. Another natural landmark is the Razdolnaya River Liman, established on November 29, 1981, to protect the river estuary in the northern part of Amur Bay.

Tisovaya Roshcha is a designated natural landmark in Nadezhdinskiy District. The grove lies six kilometers southwest of the village of Olenevod, between the Levaya and Klepochnaya rivers. This location sets it apart from the natural sites along the Razdolnaya. Tigrovaya Pad is also a natural landmark, located in the upper reaches of the Shmidtovka River. Animals found there include badgers, raccoon dogs, hares, roe deer, pheasants and hazel grouse.

Forest, Wildlife and Hiking Trail

The “Tisovaya Roshcha v sele Olenevod” hiking trail opened in Olenevod. Baranovsky Volcano is a popular destination for educational excursions and hiking trips. These sites are associated with different locations: Terekhivka for the volcano, Olenevod for the newly opened trail and the grove, and the upper reaches of the Shmidtovka for Tigrovaya Pad. You can use these place names to orient yourself as you plan and then choose your focus.

Beyond Nadezhdinskiy District, the wider Primorye Region offers another setting for nature experiences. The Zemlya Leoparda National Park is located in the southwest of the region.
