Discover Berazategui through its museums, cultural venues and events. The topics range from glass art and the history of CristalerĂas Rigolleau to the development of the Partido de Berazategui. There is also an events center and a municipal park with native plant species. When planning your trip, you can decide whether to focus on culture, an event date or time outdoors.

Culture and history: glass, everyday life and architecture

The Museo del Vidrio (MuVi) is considered unique of its kind in Argentina. Its contemporary glass art collection includes works by artists from Argentina and abroad. On the ground floor, the museum displays a collection donated, among others, by Ivonne Necol de Rigolleau, CristalerĂas Rigolleau, Sara Shaw, the Berdyszak family, local residents, and national and international artists. A historical tour also leads to CristalerĂas Rigolleau and its predominantly immigrant workforce. In this way, artistic works and the history of the glass company sit side by side.

The Museo Municipal Histórico is located in the former home and general store of the Traverso family in Berazategui’s historic San Francisco neighborhood. The house museum preserves visible traces of everyday life in the past, including worn pine floors and a kitchen from a bygone era. Its collections focus on the social, economic and cultural development of the Partido de Berazategui. If you are planning a group visit, you must reserve in advance via WhatsApp.

The Complejo Municipal San Francisco offers a broader architectural setting. The restored complex includes a home, a general store, a spacious barrack, a horse stable and outbuildings, all connected by a large park. The site is an example of Italianate service architecture associated with immigrant families. The exhibition area includes an enclosed gallery and objects documenting the educational, social and cultural development of the Partido de Berazategui.

The Centro Cultural Municipal León F. Rigolleau also brings culture and local history together. It houses municipal schools for ceramics, photography and music. Ivonne Necol, the wife of the founder of Cristalerías Rigolleau, donated the building to the Municipality of Berazategui. The Museo del Golf “Roberto De Vicenzo” offers a different perspective on an individual life: objects, photographs and awards reveal family, social and sporting aspects of the golfer’s life.

Events and public spaces

The Centro Municipal de Actividades Roberto De Vicenzo serves as an exhibition center and as an air-conditioned mini-stadium with seating for 4,000 for concerts. It also hosts the annual Feria Nacional Berazategui ArtesanĂas, which brings together more than 500 craftspeople. Bera Rock is another recurring rock festival held at the same venue. If you want to plan your trip around an edition of the fair or festival, check the dates in advance.

The Parque Municipal de la Familia y los Animales has a different focus: its features include native plant species and recreational areas with a sundial and a children’s playground. Visitors may enter the park with pets, provided they wear a leash, collar and identification tag. This specific requirement is useful if you are planning your stay with your pet; the cultural venues and the park also offer different ways to spend your time in Berazategui.
