The Teatro Seminari Cine Italia building was inaugurated in 1889. Historic pine floors, stucco decorations and chandeliers have been preserved and shape the way the building’s architecture is seen.

Theater history, garden art and traditions

Following its reopening in June 2026, theater performances and films were part of the program at the Teatro Seminari Cine Italia. Specific schedules and titles are time-sensitive; check the current program before your trip.

The Jardín Japonés was inaugurated on October 4, 1969. Landscape engineer Yasuo Inomata designed and built the garden. Its features include ponds, bridges, cascades, stone lanterns and koi fish. These elements give the garden its distinctive interplay of water, stone and vegetation.

The Fiesta de la Flor is a traditional annual event in Escobar Partido. The 63rd edition in 2026 included exhibitions of local flower and horticultural production, musical performances and cultural activities for the whole family. Gardens and natural spaces on different scales

The Predio Floral covers seven hectares. A paved path, old trees, native plants and a lagoon with fish characterize the grounds. At Bioparque Temaikén, a range of facilities spans more than 34 hectares: botanical and zoological gardens, aquariums, and natural history and anthropology museums.

The Jardín Japonés also belongs in this comparison of size: it covers 2,500 m², compared with seven hectares for the Predio Floral and more than 34 hectares for Bioparque Temaikén. The three sites therefore differ considerably in size, while their described features range from garden art to zoological and natural history facilities.

The Reserva Natural Educativa de Ingeniero Maschwitz is a protected area covering 23 hectares. It is located at Sucre 1550 in Ingeniero Maschwitz. Visitors must stay on the path; bicycles and pets are not allowed. Check these visitor requirements before you arrive.

Along the Paraná: Excursions, market and riverfront promenade

The Paseo del Paraná has a municipal pier from which boat trips depart. The promenade also features LED lighting, bicycle racks, benches, tables, outdoor exercise equipment and a fishing area along the riverbank. It is both a starting point for boat trips and a place to enjoy various riverside facilities.

The Mercado del Paraná is a riverside promenade at the intersection of Ruta 25 and Camino de los Pescadores in Belén de Escobar. Works by local artists and entrepreneurs are on offer there. Fresh, seasonal food from agroecological production is also available; the products on offer may vary. Outdoor activities and leisurely walks along the riverbank are also among the offerings.

Learning and activity

Granja Educativa Don Benito was created for children in the district so they could learn about environmental protection, rural life, areas of agricultural production and production chains. Visitors can interact with various animals and get a closer look at rural life. Its educational focus combines environmental and agricultural topics with direct encounters with animals.

Parque Aéreo Aventura features suspension bridges, zip lines and climbing walls for different age groups. These features give a concrete idea of the types of activities offered there, without implying that they are universally suitable for all visitors.
