Vicente López: Waterfront Promenade, Bike Path and Culture
Accommodation in Vicente López
When planning your trip to Vicente López, focus on the public Paseo de la Costa waterfront promenade, nature watching and cultural history. The Paseo brings together several recreational options along the river; museums and other cultural venues round out the picture. When choosing your hotel, consider which of these sides of the destination you want to shape your trip.
Paseo de la Costa: Promenade, Bike Path and Sports Areas
The Paseo de la Costa stretches along the river as a public waterfront promenade from Hipólito Yrigoyen to General Paz. The continuous bike path is a separate route: it is 2.5 kilometers long and runs from Zufriategui to Yrigoyen. The two sets of endpoints therefore refer to different routes.
The Paseo has areas for volleyball, soccer, tennis, table tennis, calisthenics and BMX. The bird observatory is also part of the promenade. So alongside the bike path, you’ll find a range of sports and a place for birdwatching. These offerings cater to different interests, without requiring you to associate the promenade with just one sport or activity.

In the vicinity of Vicente López, the Reserva Ecológica Vicente López is located in La Lucila. Its trails stretch for 900 meters and pass through grassland, Tala woodland, riparian forest, willow stands, marsh and lagoon. The different landscape areas give the short trail a distinct thematic variety.
The Reserva Ecológica Vicente López in La Lucila organizes guided tours and birdwatching outings. A bird observatory, meanwhile, is located on the Paseo de la Costa.

Cultural Venues Nearby
Quinta Trabucco, a cultural center and significant green space, is located in Florida. Free cultural activities for local residents are held there. The site’s history dates back to a donation around 1939: Ana Vigliano, José Antonio Trabucco’s wife, gave the quinta to the municipality of Vicente López for public use and enjoyment.
The area also has a connection to film history. Cine Teatro York opened on February 22, 1910, as Cine Teatro Olivos. In the 1930s, it was first renamed Select and later Cine Teatro York. Today, the building belongs to the Cultural Secretariat of the municipality of Vicente López and hosts various activities.
Museo Lumiton is located in Munro. An exhibition presents the history of the studios; the museum also includes screening rooms for film series, gatherings and live music. The municipal Munro route identifies Lumiton as the country’s first film production company and gives 1931 as its founding year. Parroquia San Gabriel was also among the stops on a historical tour announced by the Municipio Vicente López.
