Discover Flumserberg
Accommodation in Flumserberg
In Flumserberg, the offerings range from hiking trails high above Lake Walen to designated winter routes and seasonal experiences. If you are looking for a hotel for your trip, first decide when you will travel and what activities you plan to do: some offers are seasonal, and it is worth checking the timetables when planning your journey.
Hiking and scenery
The Flumserberg hiking area has more than 150 km of hiking trails high above Lake Walen. Different nature themes showcase other sides of the region: the Alpine Flora Trail introduces the diversity of distinctive Alpine plants and botanical treasures; the Tannenboden–Seebenalp Trail leads to three mountain lakes surrounded by fir trees at Seebenalp.
The routes also differ in their course. The 7-Peak Tour starts at Maschgenkamm, crosses seven peaks and ends back in Tannenboden. The Ziger Circuit is suitable for strollers; check the conditions before setting out. Seasonal conditions and lift operations are relevant when planning the 7-Peak Tour.
Compare winter trails and tours
The winter hiking trail network covers 35 km and offers views of the Spitzmeilen area, the Churfirsten and Lake Walen. Three officially signposted snowshoe trails cover a total of 11 km. Two easy SwitzerlandMobility trails differ in their length and route: the Plattis Snowshoe Trail No. 730 is a 3-km loop starting and ending in Panüöl. The Panüöl–Prodalp Trail No. 731 runs for 4 km from Panüöl to Prodalp. One route therefore ends where it starts, while the other finishes at a different destination.
There are 20 km of cross-country ski trails for other winter activities; their grooming depends on snow conditions. The marked, 2-km skating trail on Alp Tannenboden is also open to dogs and their owners, depending on snow and local operations. The intermediate toboggan run from Prodalp to Tannenheim is 3 km long; its operation also depends on snow conditions.
Ski tourers can use a route on the groomed and signposted Spiga piste No. 1. During the day, ski touring is permitted only on this piste between Tannenheim, Spiga and Prodkamm. Check the current local rules before setting out. The Swiss Ski School Flumserberg offers ski and snowboard lessons for children, teenagers and adults of all ability levels; lesson times vary by season.
Summer experiences and activities
At 15 stations, the GeoGalerie Flumserberg explains how the Alps were formed and showcases impressive works of art in the Sardona UNESCO World Heritage Site. The FLOOMZER summer toboggan run is over 2 km long, descends 250 metres and reaches speeds of up to 40 km/h. It operates seasonally; check the operating days before your trip.
BikerBerg Flumserberg has four mountain bike trails: BlueSalamander and BlueBunny are easy, while RedFox and RedRock are intermediate. Conditions on the seasonal trails may change. At the traditional cheesemaking dairy of the Alpkäserei Flumserberg, you can make your own cheese over an open fire under expert guidance. Check booking or seasonal availability for this hands-on activity. The Prodalp plateau also has a seasonal adventure golf course with twelve holes and quirky obstacles.
