Meridian: Golf, Parks, and Spin at Meridian

Meridian offers several specific leisure activities for a stay: golf at the private Meridian Golf Club, parks maintained by the Meridian Metropolitan District, and electric scooters from Spin at Meridian. These options raise different planning questions. For the golf club, visitor access is important; for Spin, station locations, vehicle availability, and starting a ride through the app matter. Dragonfly Park has a basketball court and a parking lot. If you are looking for accommodation, it is worth deciding first what the main focus of your trip will be.

Golf at Meridian Golf Club

Meridian Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and one of his first Signature Courses in Colorado. As a private club, it caters to passionate golfers of all ages and skill levels and offers challenging golf. If golf is the deciding factor for your trip, check in advance which visitor access options apply during your stay.

The extensive practice facilities include two putting greens, two chipping greens, four practice sand bunkers, a separate area for pitch shots, and three practice holes of regulation length. The putting and chipping greens accommodate different short-game tasks; the dedicated pitching area and sand bunkers provide additional options for different types of shots. The three practice holes also offer an opportunity to practice on regulation-length holes, in addition to these individual practice areas. Since facility availability can change, ask in advance about current usage options.

Meridian Golf Club is easy to reach from I-25, south of C-470.

Parks of the Meridian Metropolitan District

The Meridian Metropolitan District maintains parks and currently uses reclaimed irrigation water for them. Dragonfly Park has a basketball court and a parking lot; additional landscaping work has also been carried out there. The irrigation information applies to the District's parks, while the basketball court, parking lot, and landscaping work are specific features of Dragonfly Park. If you are planning a visit to a park, check current visitor information in advance.

Spin at Meridian

Spin at Meridian has twelve stations in Meridian and offers electric scooters. To start a ride, download the Spin app and scan a QR code. Station locations and vehicle availability can change; procedures can also change. If you are planning to use Spin, check the latest information on stations and availability, and allow for downloading the app and scanning the QR code as steps to get started.

Choose the focus of your trip

The questions to check in advance differ depending on your interests: For golf, visitor access to a private club and use of the practice facilities are key; for Spin, current locations, vehicles, and the process for getting started are important. For Dragonfly Park, the focus is on the specific park and visitor access. Decide on the focus of your trip and search for hotels in Meridian that suit your travel dates.
