Choice Hotels International: 43 new hotels in September

(0) marks: 0Choice Hotels International, hotel corporation that owns not less than ten well-known hotel brands, opened 43 new hotels in September 2009. Choice Hotels International represented its new hotels in the United States, as well as in 8 other countries of the world. The key count of the newly opened hotels reached 3400 rooms.
United States took the first place among the countries in which Choice Hotels International has opened the biggest number of hotels. In total, Choice Hotels International has opened 20 hotels in the USA. The newly opened hotels represent the whole range of brands available today in the portfolio of the company. A hotel, which belongs to luxurious brand Ascend Collection, was opened in Lafayette, Louisiana. Hotels under the brand Clarion were opened in Alaska, Pennsylvania, California and Minnesota. Among the states, in which hotels of Choice Hotels International Company appeared most extensively this September, are Texas and Pennsylvania. Four hotels by Choice Hotels International were opened in September in Texas and three – in Pennsylvania.
Regarding other countries of the world, the geography of new hotels covers almost all the continents except Africa. In Europe, two hotels under the brand name Comfort Hotel were opened in Genoa, Italy, and Trondheim, Norway. Furthermore, in Dresden, Germany, a new hotel brand - Quality Inn – appeared.
At two American continents, in September, Choice Hotels International introduced a new family of hotels - Quality Inn & Suites in Canada (Sarnia) and Brazil (San Luis). On the Asian continent Quality Inn & Suites hotel was opened in the city of Tuticorin in southern India. In Australia a budget hotel - Econo Lodge was opened in the town Morwell in September.
To date Choice Hotels International has the second place in the world for the number of hotels under its management. In total, Choice Hotels International operates over 5800 hotels worldwide. In 2008, total revenue of the company exceeded $ 640 million. Founded in 1939 as a company-owner of seven motels, Choice Hotels International today owns more than a dozen well-known brands of hotels, including luxury hotels Clarion, budget motels Econo Lodge, as well as hotels for the middle class: Mainstay Suites, Sleep Inn, and others.

Hilton: the first hotel in Kazakhstan
In 2014 Hilton plans to open its first hotel in Kazakhstan. It will be the Hilton Garden Inn Astana. The agreement was signed with the Kazakh developer Astana Development Group.

Mövenpick: the first hotel on Bali
Chain of luxury hotels Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts became another major international player, which decided to enter the Indonesian hotel market. The company announced its plans to open a new hotel on Bali. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran will be the first hotel of the network in Indonesia. Mövenpick hotel will be located on the south Bali near Jimbaran Bay.

Such an unexpected situation in the hotel market of the capital of Britain happened after the organizers of the 2012 Olympics refused to book accommodation for workers, visitors and journalists, who were to take part in service and coverage of the major sporting event of four years.
