Reilhac offers two concrete ways to plan your trip: explore its architectural heritage or follow its named routes. The Château de Broussette, the church and several crosses represent the local heritage, while the Allée de Cantal and the Jussac–Reilhac VTT route provide specific starting points for route planning. When looking for a hotel, you might first consider whether architecture, a cycling route or an annual festival will shape your stay.

Heritage in Reilhac

The Château de Broussette in Reilhac has been protected as a historic monument since 24 November 2003. This protection covers the keep and the chapel. The surviving square tower dates from the 13th century; its original interior features include a spiral staircase and tiled floors. There is also a rib-vaulted ceiling on the first floor. These details give the building a specific architectural focus: the surviving tower and its interior features, as well as the two parts explicitly covered by the protection.

The church and crosses as further cultural highlights

Reilhac’s church is architecturally notable. On the church cross, the front depicts Christ with his arms slightly raised. The Brousse cross is part of the commune’s small heritage; its base was restored through volunteer efforts. The Reilhaguet cross is also part of Reilhac’s small heritage. Different cultural themes are thus found side by side: the church’s architecture, the depiction on the church cross, and the classification of the Brousse and Reilhaguet crosses.

Routes for different travel plans

The Allée de Cantal is a soft-mobility route connecting Naucelles and Reilhac; it opened in 2024. The Jussac–Reilhac VTT route is an easy, 2.9-kilometre one-way route. It is open year-round and free to access. It also provides access to Reilhac and all the VTT circuits in the agglomeration. The route passes the cemetery and descends 50 metres to the Reilhac–Nozerolles connection.

For planning a bike ride, the VTT route’s length, difficulty level and one-way format provide useful points of reference. The Allée de Cantal, by contrast, connects Naucelles and Reilhac as a soft-mobility route. These different details can help you assess the routes according to the type of connection that matters for your travel plans.

Fête du pain et son petit marché

Reilhac’s annual Fête du pain et son petit marché attracts visitors. A 2024 municipal bulletin reports that the tarts and loaves baked there had sold out by midday. The festival offers another local highlight alongside the architecture and routes. If you would like to include the event in your travel plans, check the dates before your trip.
