Aspach offers several distinct themes to consider when planning a trip: wine, hiking, cycling and culture. The Wine Hiking Trail connects routes with places to rest and stop for refreshments; the Aspach Panorama offers other options, with partial routes, shortcuts and suitable cycling routes. Cultural attractions and a traditional Christmas market round out the picture. This makes it easy to choose a hotel in Aspach based on the activities that actually matter for your visit.

Winegrowing and cultural attractions

At the historic Torkelkelter in Kleinaspach, a multi-part video presentation showcases winegrowing, wine production and work in the vineyards. It also focuses on the Torkel press and the pressing process. Wine festivals in Aspach, as well as leisure activities and educational trails in Aspach, are also among the topics. The presentation thus covers both the practical work involved in winegrowing and festivals and leisure activities. The press in Allmersbach am Weinberg offers another perspective: it dates from the late 18th century. This site adds a historically dated building to the wine and hiking offerings.

The local history museum in Rietenau displays tools, documents and photographs; there are special exhibitions on the ground floor. It opens for events. So check when an event is scheduled before visiting. A free brochure for the GUcK tour is available at Großaspach Town Hall. The Aspach Christmas Market traditionally takes place on the weekend of the second Sunday of Advent, around Backnanger Straße in Großaspach. The exact dates vary from year to year. If you would like to make the market the occasion for your stay, check the dates for the relevant year.

Hiking trails and activities

The Aspach Wine Hiking Trail offers places to stop and relax. Along the route, there are also places to eat and drink, where you can sample wine with suitable dishes. For a trip focused on hiking and wine, this trail combines both interests in one offering.

The Aspach Panorama is a 25 km hiking trail divided into a western route and an eastern route. Partial routes and shortcuts are possible. The tour can be started at several hiking car parks, parking lots and stops on bus route 367. There are suitable routes for cycling on the Aspach Panorama. Check current bus connections before travelling and local route information before setting out. The Rietenau Sound Trail starts and ends at the Rietenau Music Hall on Trinkgasse.
