Borstel-Hohenraden: History and Transport

Borstel-Hohenraden can be understood through its history and transport links. The wider travel destination of Pinneberg adds its own nature, leisure and cultural themes to these local points of reference. If you are looking for a hotel, it helps to consider information about the town and Pinneberg separately.
The history of Borstel and Hohenraden
Borstel was first documented in 1388 under the name Borstele. The first recorded mention of Hohenraden dates from 1638; the two dates are 250 years apart. In 1988, the municipality celebrated the 600th anniversary of Borstel’s first mention. The town’s timeline is therefore centred on two separate first mentions and a later anniversary.
