Głosków: Cycling Routes, Manor Park and History
Accommodation in Głosków
A red hiking trail passes through Głosków-Zielone, and a paved cycling route begins in Głosków. Other highlights include the historic manor park, local church history and attractions in the Głosków-Letnisko settlement area.
Cycling Routes and Navigation
The red hiking trail from Magdalenka to Zalesie Górne passes through Głosków-Zielone at kilometre 15.4. It is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. As route details may change, check the current signs before setting out.
Another cycling route follows the narrow-gauge railway. This wide, paved path starts on Traktorzystów Street in Głosków and ends at the level crossing on the extension of Dobra Street in Runów. The two routes can be distinguished by their different features: the marked section through Głosków-Zielone is a reference point for the red hiking trail, while the paved surface and named endpoints identify the cycling route.
Landscape and Manor History
Fishponds watered by the Głoskówka lie west of Głosków. The stream is a tributary of the Jeziorka. The area’s historic heritage also includes Głosków Manor Park, a 19th-century landscape park with tree-lined access avenues. These local features offer insight into different aspects of the surroundings: the landscape west of the village and the historic design of the manor park.
Local History Across Different Periods
The Church of Our Lady, Help of Christians, in Głosków-Zielone was built between 1976 and 1982. The parish in Głosków, founded by Primate Stefan Wyszyński, began operating in 1981 and was entrusted to the Salesians. Both dates are part of the area’s recent history.
In the early modern period, Głosków was a noble village called Głoskowo, situated on a local trade route linking Piaseczno and Tarczyn. The estate’s ownership history is also tied to a specific period: from the late 18th century it belonged to Tomasz Michał Dangel, and then to his descendants until 1879. The Głosków-Letnisko settlement area developed after the Grójecka narrow-gauge railway began operating. These historical connections span the former trade route, the manor’s history and the later development of the settlement area.
Library and Monthly Market
The Głosków-Letnisko library branch lends books and magazines, audiobooks and films, as well as games and puzzles. The Przystaniowy Flea Market in Głosków-Letnisko is held regularly on the last Saturday of each month. Items can be sold, exchanged or given away there. Check the specific date and current market schedule before visiting.
