Józefosław offers two specific points of interest for your stay: a recreation area on Wenus Street and information about local history at several locations. This lets you divide your time in the area between outdoor recreation and a glimpse into the local past.

Recreation on Wenus Street

Since early August 2025, residents of Józefosław have had access to a recreation area of more than 5,000 m² on Wenus Street. The site includes a playground, walking paths, a bicycle path, and a recreation area with benches and loungers. The area thus combines paths and places to relax with a playground.

The site also includes blue-green infrastructure and numerous plantings of trees, shrubs, and flowers. The paths, bicycle path, benches, and loungers are all part of the same recreation area. When planning your visit, you can choose between walking, cycling, and taking a break in the recreation area.

Local history at several locations

Information boards about local history can be found at various locations: at the entrance to the park on Ogrodowa Street, on a trellis on Cyraneczki Street, and on Osiedlowa Street near the art gallery. At frequently visited spots, boards also show old maps of the area and a brief historical overview.

The “Ścieżka historyczna Józefosławia” project was carried out in cooperation with the Józefosław library branch and the “Ciąg Dalszy Nastąpi” association. Information boards were installed at surviving old houses dating from the time of the first German settlers. The QR codes on the boards link to detailed information about the project and the individual historic sites. If you want to use the QR codes, check that the linked content is accessible.

The square on Cyraneczki Street also offers a specific connection to public space: it has a bench for sitting and relaxing, while the trellises serve as venues for open-air exhibitions. Alongside the boards about local history, the square and exhibition spaces are also local points of interest.

Hiking trails and nature in the wider Piaseczyński destination

In the wider Piaseczyński destination, Chojnowski Landscape Park offers seven marked hiking trails and a network of educational trails for walkers and cyclists. There is a clear rule for excursions into the nature reserves: the park’s eleven protected areas may be visited only via existing paths and marked hiking trails. Keep this restriction in mind when choosing your route.

The route lengths make it possible to compare different trails without assuming walking times or difficulty levels. The 10-kilometre Chojnowski szlak zabytków przyrody passes through the Chojnów, Pilawski Grąd, and Uroczysko Stephana nature reserves. The 28-kilometre Szlak Południkowy runs through the Chojnowskie Forests: it leads from Piaseczno railway station via Zalesie Dolne, Górki Szymona, Zimne Doły, Zalesie Górne, the Łoś nature reserve, and Nowy Prażmów to Prażmów.

The 30-kilometre Szlak rezerwatów przyrody connects Zalesie Górne and Zimne Doły with the Uroczysko Stephana, Chojnów, Obory, Skarpa Oborska, Olszyna Łyczyńska, and Łęgi Oborskie nature reserves. It continues via Konstancin-Jeziorna to Ursynów. Comparing the three routes makes it easy to gauge their overall length: 10, 28, or 30 kilometres, each with its own route and different named stops.
