Nature areas and the Flora and Fauna Trail
The green-marked Flora and Fauna Trail is 15 km long. It runs from Góra św. Anny via Wysoka, the “Ligota Dolna” reserve, Oleszka and Żyrowa, then back to Góra św. Anny. The reserve features dry grasslands, as well as other vascular plants, mosses and lichens. For planning your route, the combination of the trail and the natural area is particularly interesting here; conditions along the trail may change.
The sub-reserves in Klucz Forest District also differ in area and beech stands. Boże Oko covers 57.31 ha and is intended to preserve a stand containing 160-year-old beeches. The Grafik sub-reserve covers 27.66 ha and is covered by a naturally developed, 130-year-old beech stand. The strict “Ligota Dolna” reserve is considerably smaller, at 4.90 ha, and is notable for its distinctive plant life.
Walks and culture around Góra św. Anny
A yellow-marked walking trail runs for 3.7 km around Góra św. Anny. Along the way are the market square, a gorge, the rock amphitheatre, a lime kiln, the Czynu Powstańczego monument, an old inn, Dom Pielgrzyma and the Basilica of św. Anny; the trail returns to the market square. The rock amphitheatre can accommodate about 30,000 people. Another route with historical significance is the red-marked Third Silesian Uprising Trail, which runs via Klucz, Czarnocin and Poręba to Góra św. Anny.
There is a rest area and a bivouac site in Zawadzkie-Świerkle. Check whether both are currently accessible before planning to use them. When planning your hotel stay, you can first decide whether to focus on a cycling route, protected areas or the walking trails around Góra św. Anny.
