Hotel in Bielski County

Bielski County is located in Podlachia in northeastern Poland. When choosing a hotel, it is important not to equate the county with a single place: Bielsk Podlaski, Topczewo and Ploski are different destinations. The cultural sites below are concentrated mainly in Bielsk Podlaski and Brańsk. Check the distance from a specific hotel rather than assuming that places within the county are close to one another.

Bielsk Podlaski

The tourist information office is located in the Bielsk Podlaski Town Hall, which also houses the Muzeum Obojga Narodów. The address is ul. A. Mickiewicza 45. Aleksander Jagiellończyk King of Poland Park covers 6.16 hectares around Góra Zamkowa. In its northeastern part are a medieval rampart and a pond. Another park, Królowej Heleny, contains the memorial sculpture “Wielki Walny Sejm Bielski AD 1564”. The two parks should not be confused.

The Cerkiew Narodzenia Przenajświętszej Bogarodzicy is the city’s oldest sacred monument. It was moved in 1562 from Góra Zamkowa to its present location on Jagiellońska Street. It houses an icon of the Mother of God donated by Princess Helena, wife of the Polish king Aleksander Jagiellończyk. As of August 2025, visiting hours were listed as weekdays from 10 to 11 a.m.; guided tours could be arranged. These hours may change. More history and routes in the county

In Brańsk, “Zamczysko” is an early medieval fortified settlement dating from the 10th or 11th century, located where the Nurzec and Bronka rivers meet. It is a different destination from Góra Zamkowa in Bielsk Podlaski. The Dolina Górnej Narwi horse-riding trail runs for approximately 35 kilometers along the southern edge of the Upper Narew Valley within the county. Check trail conditions and rules of use in advance when planning a specific trip.

The present-day Karczma Słuszna building was constructed of brick in 1993 and given the character of an earlier wooden building by covering it with boards.
