Trails, architecture and a manor park give Krąg a range of distinct points of interest. The Wierzyca features in several trail projects, while the routes differ in their destinations and characteristics. If you are looking for a hotel for a stay in Krąg, these specific themes can shape your travel plans: trails lead to different places, while architectural history and parkland appeal to other interests.

Trail destinations and connections

Equestrian Trail A runs from Grabowiec to Krąg and is 25.7 kilometres long. Equestrian Trail No. 9 connects Krąg with Stara Kiszewa. The nature, tourism and recreation trail runs from Krąg to Starogard Gdański and passes through the Dolina Wierzycy Natura 2000 site. The three trails therefore differ in specific ways: their respective features include a stated length, a connection with Stara Kiszewa and a route through a protected area.

The Krąg–Żabno trail project included the construction of a new footbridge over the Wierzyca. The project also included a viewing platform and parking near the road viaduct. Another, old railway viaduct lies on the Kręgski Młyn–Starogard kayak route. It is fitted with climbing holds, and a cycle path runs across it. Use of this viaduct may be subject to maintenance or safety restrictions. Check the conditions before using it.

The Wierzyca and activities in Kręgski Młyn

Near Kręgski Młyn, the Wierzyca has irregular banks and sharp bends. Kayak trips lasting from several hours to six days are organised in Kręgski Młyn; catamaran trips to a floodplain are also offered. New kayaking facilities were built there along the Wierzyca kayak route. Check the individual facilities before your trip.

The grounds of Kręgski Młyn cover 18 hectares. They include a stable and a private four-hectare lake with a sandy beach. Carriage rides with Friesian stallions are also offered for exploring the surrounding area. The activities have different focuses: the duration matters for kayak trips, while catamaran trips go to a floodplain and carriage rides are for exploring the area.

Architecture and landscape

The former Protestant church in Krąg was built in 1906–1907. It is a Neo-Gothic brick building on stone foundations. The combination of its construction date, style and building materials gives the church a distinct historical profile: Neo-Gothic describes its architectural style, while the brick construction and stone foundations describe how it was built.

A church in Krąg houses a Stations of the Cross painted in watercolour and blessed by Stefan Wyszyński, Primate of Poland. The manor park in Krąg is a landscape attraction; its lime trees are estimated to be 400 to 500 years old. In Krąg, architectural history, religious art and a parkland landscape with mature trees of estimated ages stand side by side.
