Get to know Corralitos through two very different themes: vegetable production and wine. When planning your trip, it is also worth looking at cultural offerings in the wider Department of Guaymallén. The excursions and programs there provide a distinct regional context.

Vegetable Production in Los Corralitos

ExpoVerde is based in Los Corralitos and works as a vegetable grower, packer, and distributor. On an earlier bus tour of Guaymallén, participants visited the company’s facilities. They were given explanations of the entire workflow. This gives vegetable production an engaging dimension beyond its role in the local economy: the focus was on the facilities and the business’s different operations.

Wine and Past Tours

A bodega in Los Corralitos was also part of an earlier excursion: On a bicycle tour of Guaymallén, participants rode to Bodega Cavas del 23. There, they took a guided tour, sampled the winery’s wines, and listened to live music performed by an ensemble from the Orquesta Municipal de Guitarras Tito Francia. The tour’s description brings together wine, music, and a winery visit—as a past program, not as a statement about current visiting opportunities.

Art and Music in Los Corralitos

A previous edition of Paseo de Arte Los Corralitos offered a varied cultural program. As part of “Muestras al sol,” Oscar Reina presented visual art live. The program also featured oral storytelling by Sergio Martínez and contemporary music by Celina Galdame. Charly Pereira, Nicolás Palma, and Nahuel Jofré of the Orquesta Municipal de Guitarras Tito Francia performed Latin American rhythms; the group Etnia also performed female malambo dance. The range of formats shows how visual art, storytelling, music, and dance appeared side by side in that edition.

Historic Sites in the Department of Guaymallén

In 2025, the municipal program “Recorridos con historia” offered guided walks to historic sites and places of heritage significance in the Department of Guaymallén. The department’s founding area is also home to the Monumento al Cancionero Cuyano by artist Elio Ortiz and the Casa Museo Molina. Espacio Cultural Julio Le Parc offers a literary program for a broad audience; an annual report describes its programming for 2023. The region’s cultural context thus encompasses historic sites, literature, and guided walks.

The annual report also describes “Patios de Guaymallén” in 2023 as a free open-air program featuring music and dance at various locations in the department. The two programs had different focuses: “Recorridos con historia” leads visitors to historic sites and places of heritage significance, while “Patios de Guaymallén” put music and dance at the center.

Municipal listings from September 2026 give the opening hours for Salas de Arte Libertad, at Libertad 466 in Villa Nueva, as Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For Centro Cultural Pascual Lauriente, at Bandera de Los Andes 8956 in Rodeo de la Cruz, they list opening hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. If you plan to visit either venue, check the hours again in advance.

Wine, Dining, and Cycling Programs in the Region

The Department of Guaymallén is an important vegetable-growing area, leads the Cuyo region in vegetable and horticultural production, and forms part of Argentina’s second-largest green belt. Wine also features in the region’s visitor offerings: several wineries are open to tourists and offer insights into winemaking as well as tastings. Which wineries participate may change, so find out which ones are offering visits before making plans.

The Guaymallén Bicitour showcases the department’s tourist and cultural attractions by bicycle. An account of the 2024 program mentions tours through various districts that ended at a winery with a wine tasting. A municipal route report from 2026 places the Bicitour’s starting point at Espacio Cultural Julio Le Parc, next to the old railway station. The details come from different program years and therefore do not necessarily describe a current route.

“De la Bodega a tu Resto” also focused on wine and dining: the series included tastings at various restaurants in the department and aimed to promote its dining scene and the wineries of Guaymallén. Ten editions took place in 2024. This offers a regional overview of a range of themes to consider when planning a trip: vegetable growing, wineries, restaurant tastings, cultural venues, and cycling activities.
